Wyland Foundation's Science Lab

Assist the Wyland Foundation by guiding residents through each of the six water activity stations at the Mobile Science Lab. These stations will provide guests with interactive learning opportunities and activities to provide education about water.

Storyteller's Stage

Provide residents with information about the presenters and the timeline of the Storyteller's Stage. Ensure doors are closed during the presentations. Usher residents to enter in through one door and exit out a different door after the conclusion of their event.

Nature Reserve's Nature Glen

Volunteer alongside The Nature Reserve of Rancho Mission Viejo to host crafts, games, and activities to provide educational offerings at this year's Earth Day Festival.

RanchLife Booth

• Greet residents and answer basic event information
• Distribute and collect event passports to residents at the event. Residents can complete a passport by collecting stamps on their passports by visiting the different booths and stations at the event. Those that complete a passport will have an opportunity to enter their family in an opportunity drawing for a special prize of their choice.
• Assist RanchLife by drawing the names at the end of the event and providing the gifts to the residents before they leave.

Butterfly Exhibit

• Assist with letting residents walk through the Butterfly Exhibit to learn about their habitats and ways they can get involved with increasing the local pollinator populations.
  
• Assist to make sure residents enter the space with calm bodies.
  
• Create awareness of the butterflies that are flying freely inside the canopy. 
  
• Watch for butterflies resting on the ground to prevent trampling. 
• Check residents exiting the exhibit to make sure they don't have butterfly "stowaways" and all butterflies remain inside the canopy.

• Educate residents about how worm composting works. 
• Allow residents a chance to hold live worms and take a photo. 
• Promote the RMV Farms Program.

• Promote information at the RMV Farms Booth to share more about how residents can get involved at the community farms. 
• Assist with general setup and cleanup. 
• Assist with any crafts/games/activities at the booth.
