Volunteer Park Rangers are an elite group of passionate community builders who believe Little Rock’s park system can be safer for all visitors. Rangers represent our Parks and Recreation Department as ambassadors, stewards and protectors by welcoming park visitors and answering their questions, beautifying our green spaces by picking up litter and reporting maintenance issues, and deterring and reporting negative activity. If you want to increase the quality of life in Little Rock via our park system, then be a Volunteer Park Ranger!
The first step towards graduation is to fill out the application and background check. Once processed, you will be contacted by the Park Ranger to schedule the free orientation and free training sessions consisting of the flora and fauna in our parks, CPR certification, and Non-conflict Mediation Techniques.
Do you like to bike? Then take it a step further and roll as a Cycling Ranger! Once you complete the Bicycle Safety Class, you can take home an official Volunteer Park Ranger bicycle and jersey.
The background check booklet will be emailed to you.
Our parks are calling your name!
Join the fun and be a Volunteer Park Ranger!
