Dorothy Day House Berkeley
Dorothy Day House Berkeley is a volunteer-based non-profit organization that for over 30 years has provided meals, shelter, and employment for low income residents and people who experience homelessness in Berkeley, California. They are our Guests.
Our Shelter is open every night in the basement of the Veterans Memorial Building at 1931 Center Street from 6pm until 7:30 am.
During the winter months, BESS, our Emergency Storm Shelter, operates during rain and low temperatures at Old City Hall at 2180 Milvia.
Our shelter residents enjoy a daily breakfast and dinner.
This program has been designed to be a win-win opportunity for both Sponsors as well as Organizations.
As a Sponsor, you will be able to explore the various organizations that are part of VolunteerMark, connect with them and support a worthy cause.
