Home Free Haven is a 501(c)(3) organization operating in Florence, Alabama. Our mission is to provide shelter, support, and hope to the unhoused individuals of the Shoals. We partner with local churches and organizations to provide a warm place to sleep, freshly prepared meals, showers, and vital supplies. We are currently offering shelter 3 nights per week through the winter season as well as “emergency nights” when outdoor temperatures drop below 32 degrees. Our 2023 - 2024 season runs from November 27th - March 15th with Sunday, Thursday, and Friday being our regular nights of operation. With the support of our community, we aspire to extend our operations into the summer season to provide relief from the intense Alabama heat. We are also beginning to join forces with other organizations to provide essential health and social services that play vital roles in providing our home free neighbors with hope for a brighter future. We are committed to taking care of the individuals in our society who are often overlooked. This endeavor is a commitment to improving lives, not just a temporary shelter arrangement.
